TGS Outdoors Ltd, in Southampton, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team to grow the business across sales. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, a good knowledge and understanding of shooting and be prepared to be part of an enthusiastic team. Your genuine passion, energy and enthusiasm for our brand will be at the heart of delivering the customer’s experience.
You will be expected to engage with customers and walk them through their requirements and offer sound unbiased advice. Additional training will be provided to help enhance your skills and further opportunities can be explored.
Key responsibilities:
Selling within our shop, including sales of clothing, accessories and guns
Offering product advice
Excellent communication skills
Handling customer enquiries, both in person and via phone/email
Booking guns in and out of the register for sale, storage and repair
Key skills and experience required for this position:
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service within our shop • Good product knowledge
• Flexibility of working hours to suit the needs of the business, with a 5 day work week (Tuesday to Saturday).
• Working within a close team, whilst also being able to take their own initiative and deliver individually.
• Due to the nature of the business, a clean criminal record is required and candidates must be willing to have a full CRB check carried out for the role
Ideally:
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience
• Customer service: 1 year
