PROTECTING, PROMOTING AND REPRESENTING THE UK GUN TRADE SINCE 1891
The Gun Trade Association are delighted that shops in England and Wales are due to reopen their doors to retail customers on Monday the 12th April. We hope that Scotland and Northern Ireland won’t be far behind.
After such a long wait it will be the first glorious 12th of this year.
Safety will still be a huge concern of course, Boris urges caution, saying: “We can’t be complacent.” Hygiene rules and Covid secure procedures will continue to be in place, face-coverings, distancing, and sanitising, but optimism seems high from both the trade and the public.
There are many bored lockdown shooters itching to get to their local store and stock up on gun related wares. Demand and curiosity for new products is strong. Advertise your reopening system and new merchandise on social media, entice customers back through your door.
Each dealer will open and operate according to its own circumstances, shop space etc. Some will have an appointment only arrangement. Some have released staff from furlough, some are treading cautiously and waiting to see how sales pan out. The overwhelming feeling seems to be of relief.
The positive affect on the gun trade industry will be mirrored in the shooters mental and physical health. There's light at the end of a long tunnel. The Gun Trade Association are here to help and support you. We're only a phone call or email away.
So, switch on the lights, dust off the counter, roll up the shutters and turn that closed sign around.
