PROTECTING, PROMOTING AND REPRESENTING THE UK GUN TRADE SINCE 1891
Despite BREXIT efforts to remove us from European controls, there is a chance that new draconian restrictions over shooting lead near wetlands could affect us before the end of the transition period. The UK was one of the leading countries in this work, banning lead in the most sensitive areas.
The article HERE explains the problems with the new proposed restrictions - which go far further. Under the proposed definition of wetlands, even a temporary puddle would stop shooting with lead within 100m and could even stop the Army firing on many of its ranges. Now we have no representation in these European Commission activities, it is essential the British Government realises the damage this could cause and reject its adoption here.
