The 39th edition of the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, owned and operated by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) was held in Las Vegas in January this year.  There were thousands of products for buyers to see on the show floor, encompassing firearms, ammunition, accessories, optics, knives, gun safes, apparel and law enforcement equipment, among other categories. More than 500 new products from 338 companies were on display in the show’s New Product Centre, sponsored by the U.S. Concealed Carry Association. In addition to the more than 1,600 exhibiting companies on the main show floors, the NEXT 2.0 Pavilion provided first-time vendors from the show’s extensive waiting list with welcome visibility and potential new customers. The overall attendance totalled nearly 65,000 visitors.

SHOT Show is the largest trade show of its kind in the world, attracting attendees from more than 100 countries and the show drew excellent reviews from both exhibitors and attendees.

Preparations have already begun for next year’s 40th anniversary SHOT Show, which will return to the Sands Expo on January 23-26, 2018.

The 44th round of the IWA Outdoor Classics closed with new records after a four-day event from 3rd to 6th March 2017. This year was the first time that the leading international exhibition for hunting and shooting sports, outdoor equipment and civilian and official security needs registered more than 1,500 exhibitors in a display area of over 100,000 square meters, as well as over 49,000 trade visitors.

The number of exhibitors was up around four per cent on the previous year to 1,515 (1,455 in 2016) from 57 countries, while trade visitors increased by around eight per cent to more than 49,000 (45,530 in 2016) from 120 countries. The figures for visitors, exhibitors and display area are determined and certified according to the standard definitions of FKM, the Society for Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics.

Eight out of ten exhibitors and almost two-thirds of trade visitors flocked to Nuremberg from countries other than Germany, making the IWA Outdoor Classics one of the most international events at the Exhibition Centre.

A date for your diary in 2018!

The next IWA OutdoorClassics is scheduled to take place at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 9 to 12 March 2018
